The Modesto Bee is proud to announce a second edition of Modesto Memories, a hardcover historic retrospective of Modesto.

This collector’s book features the memories of Modesto from 1940 to 1979 with an emphasis on the Graffiti era when cruising and rock and roll were popular among the post–World War II baby boom generation. We are excited to work with the McHenry Museum and our readers to bring this heirloom-quality coffee-table book to the community. This hardcover book truly captures the rich heritage of Modesto and demonstrates why our community is so passionate about our history and the Graffiti era.
